well, being stoned surely makes for entertaining soundworks, one could say. from the scarce informations i have been able to gather about this: it’s the result of an evening of tape only improvisations by the likes of Emeralds’s John Elliott, Thursday Club’s Ryan Kuehn and possibly Bee Mask himself (this being a c20 released on his own label, Deception Island) - well, it’s strange stuff, as you could have guessed. mostly reminding me of the CJ tape i posted a while ago but overall better sounding and quite diversified all over. it’s mostly strange snippets through tape delay, sure - squiggling voices, ethnic phantasms, radio gurglings - and completely hypnotic. technically it’s nothing too complicated but, maybe because i spend an alarming quantity of my evenings in a similar fashion, i find it lovely. try it.
